What if someone approves twice, or two people approve?
One approval per link per version. A second person on the same link changes nothing, so give them their own link.
An approval is recorded once for each link and version. If the same person approves the same version twice, the second press changes nothing and the original record keeps its original time. Nothing is overwritten.
The same applies to a second person on the same link, and that is the part worth planning around. If an artist and a label both need to sign off, send them one link each. Two links give you two records, each with its own name and time; one shared link gives you one record, belonging to whoever pressed the button first.
Approving a newer version later is a separate record rather than a replacement, so the history reads in order: this version was approved on this date, and then this one was.
