Approving an album, then sending the DDP
The client approves by listening on the review link, and the DDP goes out on the delivery link. Nothing to install at either end.
Two links, in this order, and the client installs nothing for either.
Approval. Share a review link with the album's versions on it. The client plays them in the browser, in lossless FLAC, leaves notes pinned to the waveform if something is wrong, and approves when it is right. The approval is recorded against the version they actually heard, with their name and the time, which is what you want on hand when the pressing plant is the next thing you pay for.
Delivery. Create a delivery with the approved versions, and attach the DDP as a ZIP under Add extra files. Password it. If there is a balance, set the amount due and the download stays locked until it clears. See sending files that are not audio.
What this replaces is the DDP player. The common way to get an album signed off is to send the DDP and ask the client to install something to hear it, which puts the approval inside a piece of software you do not control and cannot get a record out of. Splitting it means the listening happens where you can see it and the DDP travels as what it is: a deliverable, for the plant.
Vinyl and cassette premasters are files like any other, so they go in the same place when the cut is a separate set.
