Sharing and review

How do I share a version for review?

Two kinds of link: one that always shows your latest version, and one pinned to the version you want signed off.

A review link is made in the project you want reviewed, and the only real choice is which of the two kinds you need.

  1. Open the project and click the link icon in the rail down the right-hand side. Each icon opens one panel.

The rail of icons on the right, with the link icon ringed and the panel it opens
  2. The panel lists the links you already have. Click Create a review link.

The Create a review link button under the existing links
  3. Fill in the address if you want Soneam to send it. Leaving it blank gives you a link to copy and send yourself.

The create form, with fields for who to send to and a note
  4. Pick the kind of link, then create it. Share for listening always shows your latest version of every track. Request approval is locked to the one version you picked, and does not follow later uploads.

The difference between the two matters more than it looks. What gets approved on a pinned link is the thing you sent, not whatever happened to be newest when the client got round to listening.

A link has no expiry unless you set one, and playback is lossless, so what the client hears is the master rather than a compressed copy of it.
