Sharing and review

How do I keep EP comments and revisions together?

Keep your EP in one Soneam project, with revisions and timed comments for each song. Unresolved comment text carries over to the next version.

Updated 2026-09-26

Use one Soneam project for the EP. Each song has its own version history, and the client reviews the songs from the same link without creating an account.

  1. Add the EP’s mixes to one project, then share its review link with the client.

  2. When a mix changes, add it as a new version of that song. For example, adding Gold Hour v2.wav to a project containing Gold Hour.wav groups the files under the same song, provided its version limit has not been reached.

  3. Review the open comments carried over from the previous version. Their original version is shown, and their timestamps stay the same. If you have trimmed the start or changed the arrangement, check that those positions still refer to the right part of the song.

  4. Use the comments panel to switch between the current version, all versions of the song and the whole project. Reply to each note and mark it resolved when it has been dealt with.

Version limits and carried comments

Free keeps up to three versions per song. If you add another file through the project upload after reaching that limit, it becomes a separate song rather than another version. Check the grouping before sending the link. See the current plans for version limits.

The text of unresolved comments and their replies is copied to the new version; voice notes and attached files stay with the original comment. Open that earlier version to hear or download them. Resolved comments stay in the earlier version’s history.

When the mixes are ready, the client can approve the EP together or approve individual songs. The approval record identifies each approved version. Pro also includes exporting comments as DAW markers.
