What happens to comments when I upload a new version?
Unresolved notes move to the new version at the same timestamp. Resolved ones stay behind as the record.
Notes that are still open or in progress are carried onto the new version, keeping the time they were left at and a small badge saying which version they came from. Notes already resolved stay where they were, on the version they belonged to.
The split is the point. The open list is the work, and it should follow the work; the resolved list is the history of what was asked and when, and moving that would erase it.
It assumes the timeline did not move. A mix revision almost never changes the length, so a note at 1:12 is still about 1:12 in the next version. A podcast re-edit usually does: cut forty seconds from the intro and every carried note after it lands forty seconds early. Timestamps are kept as written rather than guessed at, so read a carried note as where it was made rather than where it now belongs. Soneam does not shift them for you.
The comments panel filters by this version, this track, or the whole project, so the list you are working from can be as wide as you need.
