How is storage counted?
Uploaded files count toward your plan. Generated playback previews, waveforms and resized images do not.
Your audio uploads, client uploads, delivery extras, project assets, cover art and comment attachments count toward storage.
Generated previews, waveform data and resized cover images do not count. A 200 MB source file uses 200 MB of your allowance, regardless of the previews generated from it.
Deleting a version frees a version slot immediately. Its file still uses storage while it is in the Trash, until you empty the Trash or it is permanently deleted after 30 days. The version and its comments are hidden while it is in the Trash. Approval references are retained until permanent deletion. Unrelease any delivery that uses it before deleting it.

Free also allows 1 GB of your own uploads each calendar month (UTC): versions, project files and delivery extras. Files a client sends you are not counted, and the monthly limit does not apply during the Pro trial. Reaching it does not remove or lock anything; new uploads wait until the next month, or until you choose a paid plan.
Trashed files still count until permanently deleted. Free also allows up to three retained versions per track. Existing versions remain available if a downgrade leaves a track above that limit, but another version cannot be added until there is a free slot. Uploads in progress reserve a slot; failed or canceled transfers release it. An analysis failure does not release the slot while the original file is retained.
